“I heard about the Zula from many friends that volunteered there and heard only amazing feedback. The application process was not difficult. I appreciated the specific questions about my faith, values, gifts, things that I would like to improve in myself, etc.  It encouraged me to see that I was actually asked questions for them to get to know me and see if I was a fit.
Volunteering at the Zula was an AMAZING experience, one I never had before. Serving the guests and travellers and especially the Israeli visitors was so special. It was special to work and show love to the people that came to the Zula, without expecting anything in return.
The Zula is a very laid-back and peaceful place, full of giving to others, but it also gave me the special opportunity to grow in my own faith, learn how to be a better disciple, how to give and share. The staff became my family. We had evening meals together, worked together and shared our lives with each other.
Chris and Uta were just amazing, our real Zula parents.  Not only were they there to show us how to give from ourselves to others with a joyful heart, but they know how to be there for each one of us volunteers.”

“I had a really great time serving for two months at the Homestead in Waihola. 
We had so many Israelies coming through and also so many good conversations. One night I spent quite a while speaking to a young guy. I took him through Isaiah 53, and we discussed at length what it meant. I’m no expert in this area so I also felt God showing me things I hadn’t picked up on before, which was awesome. 
There is such a great opportunity to witness to Israelis in NZ. It’s an amazing blessing.”
